Licensed Mental Health Professional Regional Hub Lead

Master Center for Addiction Medicine is seeking a talented Licensed Mental Health Professional to lead our Regional Substance Use Disorder Assistance Hub. The LMHP will work closely with the Addiction Medicine Provider to provide rapid clinical telehealth consultation and support services to Primary Care Providers. The LMHP is responsible for providing oversight, coordination, and management of his/her Regional Hub. The LMHP will serve as the initial point of contact to provide Substance Use Consultation to Primary Care Providers throughout the State of Virginia, and provide therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention, and be the liaison for care coordination. 
 
Master Center for Addiction Medicine is a private, outpatient addiction medicine treatment center headquartered in Glen Allen, Virginia. We have additional offices in Hampton, Gloucester, Chesterfield and are opening offices in other areas of Virginia. Our approach to addiction is comprehensive, evidence-based and individualized, drawing on every tool that has been proven effective: medical treatment, education, psychiatry, professional counseling, testing/monitoring and peer support services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:   

  • Respond to incoming consult requests from call center during normal business hours and triaging requests to additional hub staff as appropriate (Care Navigator, Addiction Medicine Provider). 

  • Answer PCP calls and emails during normal business hours, provide consultation and/or direct to appropriate resources 

  • Provide clinical guidance/advice via consultation to individual PCPs related to patient care for cases, in line with practice guidelines and best practices in substance use disorder treatment/addiction medicine. 

  • Provide Diagnostic Evaluations and referrals to treatment when appropriate  

  • Provide time-limited substance use disorder support. Reasons for direct support may include, but are not limited to:  
    • Conducting substance use disorder evaluations to determine accurate diagnoses and/or clarify diagnostic uncertainties. 
    • Providing direct family support to facilitate linkage with care navigation services. 

  • If additional care is needed outside of the primary care setting, work in conjunction with Regional Hub Care Navigator to refer patients to the appropriate external behavioral health resources. 

  • Provide oversight, coordination of management of Regional Hub operations. 

  • Provide day-to-day operational supervision of Regional Hub’s Care Navigators. 

  • Conduct regular outreach to PCP offices within the region. 

  • Assist with APAL educational offerings, including the recruitment of regional staff/faculty and marketing APAL educational opportunities to regional PCPs.  

  • Work in conjunction with APAL Medical Director and MSV to integrate appropriate clinical and administrative functions into Regional Hub activities. 

  • Assist MSV and appropriate APAL team members to collect and maintain required data to ensure evaluation and reporting requirements are met.  

  • Adhere to HIPAA privacy policies and hospital/health center regulations. 

  • Complete all other responsibilities assigned by the Program Administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Minimum: Hold an unrestricted license in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a licensed clinical social worker, licensed professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner, or clinical psychologist.  

  • Minimum: Have a specialization in substance use disorder/addiction medicine as documented by education and work experience.  

  • Minimum: Possess supervision and/or consultation experience.  

  • Minimum: 5 years of clinical work experience.  

  • Minimum: Possess experience working with primary care settings.  

  • Preferred: Supervision/Management experience.
